Arteta criticised for touchline behaviour
Discussing the 0-0 draw, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer said on Sky Sports: “I think he’s [Mikel Arteta] disrespectful to the opposition and he’s making it very difficult for the referees, who have a hard enough job as it is. I get he wants to be animated but if his players behaved like him, he wouldn’t like it and it would cost him. He needs to calm down.
“I get they’re [Arsenal] top of the league and it’s a big game, but he’s making it very, very difficult for referees and he’s disrespecting the opposition. They know they’re under pressure but when you see your manager behave like that on the touchline..”
Fulham yet to make offer for Cedric
As per Football London, Fulham have not yet submitted an official transfer offer to sign Cedric Soares from Arsenal this January.
The 30-year-old’s wages are believed to be a stumbling block, with Fulham considering a short-term loan spell instead of a permanent deal.
Arsenal recall Miguel Azeez from loan
Spanish club UB Ibiza has confirmed that they’ve sent midfielder Miguel Azeez back to Arsenal after cutting his loan deal short.
Azeez only started eight games for them and was not getting game-time, leading to him returning to the Gunners.
