Chelsea are speeding up the process of hijacking Arsenal’s move for Mykhalo Mudryk, reports Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian – a tier-one source.
The Blues have scheduled a meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk chiefs this Wednesday in hopes of taking the next step.
Steinberg adds that Arsenal are still ‘favourites’ to sign the 21-year-old even though there have been no further developments.
Mudryk has scored 10 goals and provided three assists for his side this term, attracting interest from several European bigwigs.
A gap of 19 points separates Arsenal from Chelsea in the Premier League table, which makes the Emirates an ideal destination for a young attacker.
Furthermore, with Gabriel Jesus out injured, there is place for someone like Mudryk on our winning team. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for our London rivals.
