According to Ben Dinnery, Idrissa Gueye, Seamus Coleman, and Andre Gomes are doubtful for the upcoming Merseyside derby clash between Everton and Liverpool. Meanwhile, Dele Alli has been ruled out of the match.
Dinnery shared on his website, Premier Injuries, that Gueye’s chances of playing are 50-50, as he is still recovering from an injury that kept him out of the Bournemouth game before the international break.
Gomes might make his first appearance under the management of Sean Dyche, with his chances also standing at 50-50. Coleman is on track for his return to action, having last played for Everton, but Dinnery has stated that he is only 25% fit.

It is possible that all three players, Gueye, Gomes, and the Irish full-back, could be included in the Toffees squad for the upcoming match against Jurgen Klopp’s side. However, it is more likely that Gueye and Gomes will make the trip across Liverpool than the Irish full-back.
Dyche’s squad is almost fully fit as almost all of his long-term absentees have returned to the fold or are at least back in training, except for Dele who has never been available during the former Burnley manager’s tenure at Goodison.
The Everton boss, Dyche, is hoping that Gueye recovers in time for the trip to Anfield as the Senegalese star is one of Dyche’s most trusted players. Gueye has started all seven of the Premier League matches that he has been available for and only missed the clash with Bournemouth because of an injury in the warm-up.

There is no need to rush Gomes back to action after he suffered an injury during the warm-up. The former Barcelona midfielder has fallen down the pecking order in the Toffees midfield, as Dyche has plenty of options in the middle of the park. This is due to the good form of Amadou Onana, Gueye, and James Garner.
Given that Klopp’s side has only lost one match all season, the Toffees will have to be near their best to come away with a result against Liverpool. It will be a huge boost to the Toffees’ chances to have an almost complete squad available for selection.
