Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as the Foxes enjoy a remarkable transformation under Enzo Maresca

Harry Winks has lauded the impact of Enzo Maresca at Leicester City this season.
The Foxes have swept aside most teams in the Championship so far in 2023/24 as they sit five points clear at the top of the Championship table after 13 games. City will already be eyeing a return to the Premier League with Leicester 14 points clear in the automatic promotion spots.
And Winks has shared the positive message their Italian manager has been reinforcing across the Foxes squad after a brilliant first few months at the King Power Stadium for the former Manchester City assistant manager.
“I’m loving it,” he said via the club’s website. “It’s probably the most I’ve enjoyed my football in years.
“The style of the team, the way the manager sets us up, the way he encourages us to play… ‘if you make mistakes, that’s football’, and to just enjoy playing is everything I’ve always wanted and how I’ve always wanted to play.
“You can see how well we’re playing as a team and how everyone’s performing individually. That’s a credit to the manager and how he’s come in and put his philosophy onto us.
“We know how abnormal [the start to the season] is. I think it’s a credit to everybody in the squad, who works so hard every day, and everyone’s humble enough to realize that we need to keep working and keep improving.
“The manager doesn’t let us forget that. The minute we rest on our laurels and forget about that, we get punished. We’re taking every game with the utmost respect for the opposition. We’re working as hard as we can and hopefully, we can keep winning games.”
