Manchester United appear to have set sights on Harry Kane as a preference over Victor Osimhen.
It is no secret Manchester United need to sign a striker. Last summer the club hoped Cristiano Ronaldo could last the season as a stop-gap. That was not to be.

Neither Anthony Martial or loanee Wout Weghorst have worked out as temporary solutions, and this summer the club will look to bring in a top class striker.
The club are looking at two prolific forwards, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, who would both cost huge money.
Manchester United stance on Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen is the man of the moment after firing Napoli to the Serie A title. He has struck 28 goals in all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old is a strong long-term prospect than Harry Kane, five years younger.
The Tottenham star has scored 30 goals this season, and per The Guardian, he is Manchester United’s top target.
There is a reason why United are looking at Kane over Victor Osimhen, despite the Nigerian’s younger age.
This is due to the fact Osimhen will be more expensive, at £130 million, and has not proven himself in the Premier League.
The Guardian report: “United are wary of spending more than £100m on the Napoli player as there is no guarantee of him adjusting to the Premier League.”
There is a danger that by the same thinking, Manchester United would have skipped on Erling Haaland last summer had that been the asking price. He has settled quickly into English football.
The Mail reported this week that Manchester United staff have been doing due diligence over Osimhen, assessing the striker.
But that doesn’t mean a deal will be done. The deal currently looks less likely, with Kane the preferred option. Whether Tottenham will play ball, is another matter.
