Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are about to beat Graham Potter’s Chelsea to the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk after missing out on Joao Felix to the Blues, according to SportArena.
ARSENAL TO BEAT CHELSEA TO MYKHAILO MUDRYK SIGNING
The report published this evening has claimed that Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal with Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar over the transfer of Mudryk to the Emirates Stadium this month.
Arsenal and Shakhtar are now reportedly discussing the ‘ratio of guaranteed payment and bonuses’, according to the report, which has added that the Gunners want bonuses to be at least 30% of the entire transfer fee while the Ukrainian club want bonuses to be a maximum of 20%.
This report does suggest that Arsenal could soon be able to sign Mudryk, who has already decided to move to the Emirates Stadium and has been described as “an exceptional talent” by former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton in The Daily Record in October 2022.
JOAO FELIX BLOW
This means that Arsenal will be able to beat Chelsea to the signing of the 22-year-old, having reportedly missed out on Portugal international forward Felix to their London and Premier League rivals.
TalkSPORT reported today that the 23-year-old Portugal international, who can operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or winger, has agreed to join Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.
The former Premier League and UEfA Champions League winners will reportedly pay Atletico a loan fee of £10 million for Felix.
The report has also claimed interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in the youngster.
The Telegraph have reported interest in Mudryk from Chelsea, but it seems that it is Arsenal who are going to sign him this month.
