Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the meat is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese. Stir in the cooked egg noodles.
- Layer half of the noodle mixture in the baking dish. Spread half of the meat mixture over it. Repeat the layers.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
